I see the JK drive shafts have a CV joint and U-joint. I know how to replace the CV joint. It appears the u-joint is not secured with clips, rather it looks like the metal has been peened to hold it in place. Do we just force out the old u-joint and peen the metal after installation of a new u-joint?

I was hopeful somebody would answer.
I remember needing to heat and melt plastic out of u-joint ends.
I have to admit I didn’t pay attention to that end when I replaced the cv joint on my front shaft. Other than taping the caps on

I was hoping somebody else had an answer for this as well. When I did the u-joints on my TJ, I had a shop I could borrow with heavy-duty press and proper tools to get the old joint out. My front driveshaft ended up being rusted out and I bought a whole new one, but now I'd just get it professionally done unless I had access to another shop.
