JK 2 Dr Hard top- interchangeable through years?

Going to bump this. I know 100% that this works for the 4 door, later model tops have an extra peg that needs to be removed to fit on early models.
I'm fairly certain it will work fine, but I don't have experience with two door JKs.

Yes, BUT... The top changed in 2010 I believe. You'll need to get a different header trim panel (1AG97XDVAD) or trim your existing one since the newer style has the windshield footmans loop shifted to the right.
I don't think the 08 tops had a locator pegs in back but I think later years did, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I have a 2014 top on my 2009 and other than the alignment pegs everything fit perfect fine. I thought the trim panel stuff was for the soft top?
Found a reference. I put a 2010 top on my 2008. The change was in 2009.
