Hi guys. I have a 2018 JKU. I am moving to Arizona and want to install a RTT to go camping in the desert. Like some, I really do not want to drill into the hard top or do a gobi rack since I prefer the non cage look. I saw there is a lot of people running deezee racks with RTT and no issues. I found this rack on open road that has a dynamic load capacity of 660lbs. I emailed the company and they do "confirm" that this holds a RTT with no drilling into the hard top. I am struggling to find any reviews of this rack on the forums. Has anyone out there used/seen this rack in the wild? Thank you

I would never put a RTT on the hardtop with it being solely supported by the hardtop, especially supported by the drip channels on the hardtop. DeeZee can build a rack to support 3 tons but if I put it on a cardboard box, it will collapse.

I have a light weight rack on my hardtop but I won't go over 150ish pounds including the rack. Seems like I read (and I could be mistaken) Jeep technically takes the stance that the roof is made to hold 0 lbs. It's just fiberglass.

I have a 200lb Smittybilt Defender rack, and it's only about 4x4. But it holds a Reese cargo bag with a few pieces of luggage inside nicely.
At nearly 70 years old and 300lbs, I'm not climbing up and down off the roof to take a leak once or twice a night...lol.
