Identifying 2nd generation Pentastar on 2014's

Hi everyone. How do you identify the 2nd generation of Pentastar engine's on a 2014? Supposedly mid year they switched from 1st to 2nd generation which supposedly is more efficient and also has less issues with rocker arms and heads. thanks !!

Bump.. I know a lot of folks know how to identify the 2nd gen penestar. Help please !!

Couldn’t say about how to tell the difference between 1st & 2nd gen engines, but I can tell you that the 2nd gen in our 2015 still had issues that needed to be fixed.
New cam and associated parts ran $4k at the dealer.

My guess would be the oil cooler...ergo what oil filter it takes.
