Although some things may require an expert's hand in repair, replacing a headlight is often considered to be one of the easiest tasks to complete on a vehicle. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for your JK, which requires that you remove the grille in order to access each headlight housing. Not only does this slightly complicate things, but these extra steps can also leave your wallet feeling a bit light. So instead of wasting your good earned cash on a local shop, use this in-depth guide to replace the headlights on your Jeep JK.
Materials Needed
Before you can access any of the trim clips, you have to open the latches and prop the hood in place.

Step 2 – Remove the locking clips
When you look at the grille, you'll notice several locking clips in place that secure the grille to the Jeep. Use the flat head screwdriver to pop the center locks out and then remove the clip. Do this for all six clips.

Step 3 – Remove the grille assembly
With the top clips off, grab the grille assembly and begin to pull it forwards. As you pull it down, the bottom clips will begin to pop out. Then, gently pull the grille cover outwards.

Step 4 – Remove the headlight housing
Use the T15 Torx driver to remove the four screws holding the headlight housing in place. Pull the housing out, disconnect the headlight bulb and replace the unit. Then reinstall the headlight assembly and grille.

- Headlight bulb
