The Jeep Wrangler has a lot of features that can make it a very simple car. One of these features is the ability to remove the doors. This feature is designed based on the old Jeep Wranglers, and it is a nice feature that allows you to experience the outdoors while driving off the road. Even though you are legally allowed to drive on the streets without your doors, it's never recommended. However, when you're doing slow off-roading, it is a great feature that allows you to see the obstacles under you, while enjoying more breeze. Removing the doors on the Wrangler can be done quickly and without too much effort. Read on to learn how you can remove your doors.

Material Needed
  • T40 Torx bit
Step 1 – Disconnect harness
Roll down the window on the door you will be removing and open the door. Remove the strap connecting the door to the footwell; you can do so by pulling it up. Disconnect the electrical harness that runs through the strap by squeezing the tab and pulling it apart.

Step 2 – Remove hinges' bolts
The door is held in place with two hinges. Remove the Torx caps from under the hinges, then use your Torx bit to loosen and remove the bolts from the bottom of the hinges.

Step 3 – Remove door
After you've removed the two bolts holding the door in place, open the door half way, hold it with one hand on the bottom and the other from the window frame. Then open it and close it as you pull it up, off its hinges. It should come off rather easily. Place it on a towel or something soft so you don't scratch the paint.
