I saw about a week ago that there was a leak on my passenger side axle shaft on to the knuckle

It's the inner axle seal at the Center Section, in the mean time you should check to see if your gear oil is low so you don't cause bearing failure.

You can get all your axle seals replaced for around $400-600 (USD). With winter temp extremes headed your way, that leak will likely get worse as the seals shrink in the cold weather.

I’m in the middle of changing them right now and wondering do the seals need to be flush with the inside of the diff or is it supposed to have a slight edge on it?
