Hey newbie here.
I need advice to tell the mechanic what I would like to change on my front end.
it’s pretty sloppy at this point with 90000 miles and no upgrades since new.
when I say sloppy I mean like it rolls when you slightly jerk the wheel back and forth.
any advice would help.
Thanks.

Lots of things it could be. Most likely culprits: ball joints, tie rod, drag link. If your mechanic cannot diagnose the problem, I would probably try to find one that can. Also is your Jeep lifted? Larger tires? Worn out suspension parts are generally easy to spot for someone who knows what they’re doing.

I'll take the 'no upgrades since new" as meaning completely stock. If that is true, then there should be nothing to really tell a competent shop. At least nothing that they shouldn't know. There should be a jeep / off-road shop somewhere on Long Island that will be able to diagnose in person better than we can over the internets.

Poke around on social media for any Jeep groups in the area. They should be able to point you to the most reputable shops to use.
