This is my new (to me) humble 07 JKUX. My second Jeep and first Wrangler (first Jeep was an 01 XJ Limited).

I wanted a Wrangler since my honeymoon 20 years ago. Why did I ever waste time driving anything else?

Next mods: Front Bumper (this weekend), a-pillar switch panel with 2 switches (Sunday), a-pillar 7" 120 watt LEDs (Sunday), waterproof relay box (built and ready), fog lights (Sunday), backup camera (Sunday), replacing all incandescent with LEDs (tomorrow), subwoofer and amp (tomorrow), soundbar media center with removable 10.1" touchscreen and bluetooth headsets (building it).

How did you achieve that effect with the front grille? It's definitely unique.

I ask myself the same question all the time: How did I ever waste my time with anything else? Should have just skipped right to the Wrangler!

It's a vinyl wrap from 3M called 1080 Gloss Flip Psychadelic. I started with the black grill (I wanted a grill to match the body) and while I was cleaning and prepping I figured out it was black plastidip that was sprayed too thin. I dissolved it with Goo Gone Pro then degreaser, washed, then sprayed it with dawn and water and started the vinyl wrap.

This is the first time I ever used vinyl wrap and there are some flaws in it inside the grill slots but they don't matter.

Total cost for the vinyl wrap mod: $30

Could have gotten a bigger piece from Amazon open box for $20 but didn't know. I have since bought that piece and plan to do a center hood decal in it.

If anyone has suggestions on where to mount the relay box they would be appreciated. It has 6 relays and 6 fuse slots. I'm installing the a-pillar switch panel for it this weekend as well.

I've also been having fun installing the new head unit. It is a 10.1" screen with Android 9.1 and has bluetooth, wifi, GPS, and all the normal ins and outs. I got a cheap (really small) OBD2 reader with a power switch and connected to the head unit via bluetooth. I am still working on the mount bracket to get it closer to the dash.

Is there anywhere under the room for that relay box?

That film you used on the grille is definitely cool! 3M makes some really cool products these days as far as vinyl wraps and other stuff.

More changes! Mounted the a-pillar lights, the relay box, my new bumper, new fog lights, and the a-pillar switch pod.
Also switched the hood latches.

Working on rear-seat recline kit but WOW those bolts suck!

I'll bet when someone is coming towards you in oncoming traffic at night, their lights hit your grill and it's like one massive reflection, huh? Haha!

Sounds like that would be amusing.

True, but not in an obnoxious way. It prisms the light so they would see a rainbow reflection as if it were daylight (unless someone considers that obnoxious).

Oh yeah, I think it would be more like one of those "What the heck is that!?" type of things.
