Has anyone here used these? If reviews and instructions are correct these shouldn't need the H4 adapter.

They are just run of the mill Chinese copies of all the others. You shouldn't need the adapter

Yep, should be fine, though I suggest zip tying the connectors together unless you manage to get an audible click. Q&A is lacking and one of the reasons you can get these kinds of things so cheap.

Sorry, I know I'm old and all, but I'm just not a fan of the halos.

I have mine set up to only turn on with parking lights, and my bumper blocks the stock signals so needed to do something. Plus the factory lights are about as bright as the candle on my counter.
