Has anyone had problems with the aluminum oil cooler when replacing theirs?

Yo momma's house.
Having the oil cooler crack is something we all dealt with, but I Got an aluminum one from BELKEBIR, which is some Chinese knock off not doorman as I heard they had issues, but has anyone else had issues with theirs when replacing it with aluminum? I saw this on the side of the radiator on the unit and didn't know if this is bad casting or just apart of the molding process. The raised flat edges where the bolt goes in and around it. Anyone have any input.

Looks like the molding process to me. Mine had similar casting marks on it. No issues after 20k miles, "knock on wood".

Sounds good, never really sat up close to a cast object like this. What brand did you get? I got some unknown Chinese knock off brand not doorman.

I got the same. Doorman was on backorder when I needed 1. I do recommend if your OEM sensors still works, use it.

Pay attention to the wire harness at the oil cooler sensors.
The silver heat wrap was short of the connector by about 1/2" on mine, and the exposed wires became brittle, and the insulation dried out and crumbled away, exposing the conductors and allowing them to short together at will.
Thing threw every code it could find at me.
I chased that issue for several weeks before finally resolving it by rebuilding that harness with new connectors.

Yeah, as it sits it will run, but it is unable to pass emissions and the tags expired in august of last year. So im kind of cooked.

Does yo mamma's house allow you to spend a certain amount of money to show you tried to fix the issue(s) and give you a pass for the emissions testing? They do that here in PA.

You can do a hardship here yes, but that turns out to have to be filled out in advance of the tags being expired. I didn't know my issue was this grave so I didn't bother with it.
