I came across this video from a couple of years ago. The guy does a pretty thorough job of detailing how he replaced the weatherstrip in the hardtop and why. Be sure to watch the 2nd video when he uses the proper seals instead of just the generic stuff...

Here's another, but for the doors. Sounds like Jeep redesigned the door seals at some point.
