Ham Radio Antenna Mount?

I'm guessing this is an antenna mount of some sort. Getting ready to ixnay the 2" body lift so it's gotta go, whatever it is. But...since I'm new to Jeeps I just want to ask here just in case it's essential and will cause the wheels to fall off if removed.

That's not a standard Jeep part. But you're right- looks like a flag or antenna mount, home-style.

Home-made CB/Ham/GMRS antennae or maybe one of those whip flags people use in high speed places like sand dunes. Toss it.

There was some serious time, thought and energy put into the design and construction. Wonder how much it was even used.

Yeah that laser cut cnc bracket and powder coating is top notch!

But...hey...points for fabricating something that clearly works and gets the job done. Even bent that angle iron just right.
