Flat tow fuse pull

First time flat-towing my new-to-me 2016 sport unlimited from Mich to Florida earlier today and yesterday. Using Ready Brute Elite system. All good except....
For my TJ, when I clicked the ignition to the first click to unlock the steering it didn't draw power. This JK does, and I ended up with a dead battery. What are the methods used to address this?

I have 07 jk, I start motor when getting gas or stopping for what ever,let it run few minutes. Haven't had to jump start yet. Towing behind motor home fingers crossed knock on wood

I did just discover that my '16 doors not have a steering wheel lock, so problem solved. I did find, with the ignition clicked to ACC that a few minutes of run was not sufficient with multiple long duration tows.
