ESC light

My ESC light came on while I was driving home from work yesterday. When I shut the Jeep off and restarted it the light went out. It came back on again when I drove to work today. What could be causing the light to come on and is my Jeep safe to drive?

Could be the sensor is going bad or you need to do a brake fluid flush.

Thanks for the info. My jeep also pulls to the right under braking. Could this be related to the ESC light coming on?

Is your ABS light on also? Usually the ESC light being on means you have a bad wheel speed sensor, you should be able to get it scanned and find out.

You can still drive it my ABS and ESC lights have been on for over 3 years and my braking is still like it was.

My ABS light isn’t on. I used my code reader to check the ESC system and it showed a fault in the vacuum pump.
