ESC and check engine light come on and lose power while towing a trailer

It was the Cam Sensor. I replaced both of them. I disconnected the Battery over night to reset the computer. I'm gonna pull the trailer to deer camp and mow. If the same thing happens I'll just unplug my trailer lights and hope for the best. And mess with it when I get home. Hey Thanks for Help. I've never been on a Forum before. This is cool. That button is the hill decent button, it shouldn't have anything to do with pulling a trailer. I'm pretty sure it only works in 4 low. it's to replicate going down hill with a manual essentially.
Just to back this up, this button is down hill decent control and only works in 4 low. So helpful when going down steep trails.
 
I have a 2014 jk with a similar problem. However mine started doing it while going up steep grades. I changed cam position sensor. And had no issue on grades for 1 day. The next day I took it up some grades in wet conditions and it faulted again.
My thinking is I have a bad wheel speed sensor. I believe that when the esc goes in limp mode, the sudden change makes the cam position sensor fault.
Am I correct in my assumption or is there another reason the two faults occur at the same time?
My jk has 3” lift, on 35s, and has been regeared and calibrated.

If your Cam Sensor was bad you'd have a CEL for it.

I realize this is an old thread, but I read thru it since there is a new and possibly similar issue occurring. I would be inclined to look at the rear tires. Age, wear, damage, etc. If there is one that is suspect and it's loaded with a trailer it may create traction issues. If I understand correctly the latest occurrence is not with a trailer, however.

I would try driving with the ESC defeated (try both a soft and hard defeat) to see if the engine still goes into limp mode.
