Engine mounts replacement

Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question, kind of on a bind right now. I have a 2010 JKU and my exhaust pipe is hitting the transmission skid plate bar, I found out the exhaust was a little loose at the engine manifolds so I tighten them up; however the rattling continued and I also noticed when I brake, it rattles even more....so I looked at the engine mounts (see attached pics), and I believe that is the issue, however, sent the pics to my mechanic and he stated that the mounts do not necessarily need replacement based on the pics. I dont know what am I missing, but they sure look really busted to me.
Also, I am the second owner of the Jeep, have had it for 3 years, and I have not previously replaced them.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Thanks again; will try that and see what happens. Will post the results later.
Hello, I performed the test today and the engine does not move while placed in and off gear....does that mean the mounts do not need to be replaced?
thanks.

If you put it in drive and give a little gas one side would move up if they were bad then put in reverse and other side would go up. If the engine doesn't move either way then they are ok.

There is a little bit of play; however, I don’t know if that’s significant or not. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks.
