RPMs were a little low because it was 6th gearI think it should be higher RPM's then that, I can check in the morning I have to go to town to get supplies.
No it’s a manual in 6th gearI assume this is an auto? If so, it seems low to me. However, mine is a Rubicon with factory 4.10 gears and 315s.
If you have a lower gear ratio (3.73), that actually could be normal, yes.
Then why is there so much hype regarding regearing? Those were my numbers on the highway with my 37s. Are they talking about regearing to rock climb and off-road or could it be my gears have been changed already before I bought it...?I believe those numbers are normal for a manual transmission on stock 3.73 gearing.

UnderstoodAt highway speeds (let's say 60-65 MPH), you should be around 2600 RPMs or so. Anything below that RPM will be lugging the engine.
From what I can see, you're lugging the engine since it's under 2K RPM.
No one says re-gearing is a requirement, but it will make your JK much more enjoyable to drive, I can promise you that.
Of course you'll never know what you've been missing until you try driving a JK that's been re-geared. It's then that you'll come back to us and say, "Wow, I can't believe how much better it is".
