Dipstick to short

I changed oil in my 2016 wrangler with the 3.6 v6 ,added 6.5 qrts of oil and nothing shows on the engine oil dipstick. My wrangler is a manual so i'm not checking the tranny. All the info I read says it takes 6 qrts plus the filter .I slipped a piece of long wire down the tube to see how much further it had to go past the length f the stock dip stick. About an inch further. I wonder if the dip stick is from a differant 3.6.

It's possible someone put the wrong dipstick in there. You could always order a new one just to be sure.

Just go to your local dealer and look at a used one on the lot and pull and measure the dip stick the sales person won't even know what you are doing
