I will be picking up a 2017 JKU that was advertised and described to me by the dealer as Chrysler Certified Pre-Owned. As we were going though the "official" paperwork I asked if I was supposed to get any paperwork regarding the certification. The salesman said it get's entered in FCA's warranty system and I can just go into any dealer if I should have an issue.
This is one of the largest FCA dealerships in the Midwest and gets 4.5+ out of 5 star reviews on Google, Edmunds, Cars.com, etc. I want to think think they are explaining the process correctly. Just wanted to see if my experience matches that of others.
