I have a 2013 JK that has been giving code C2200 for quite a while now. It needs a new ABS control module and that part is on hold until at least March, 2024... but most likely longer than that from what I've been told.... uhggg
Anyway, the Jeep was only giving code C2200 for months. However, recently started throwing codes C1015 and C1035 for 2 of the wheel speed sensors in addition to the C2200 code. I figured I'd just replace all 4 wheel speed sensors since the jeep likes to eat wheel sensors. So I replaced all 4 sensors and reset the codes. C1035 (right rear) comes back as soon as it is driven. For trouleshooting, I then swapped sensors between left rear and right rear to troubleshoot and the code stayed at C1035. So I know for sure the sensor at the rear right is good as the same exact sensor was working on the rear left before swapping.
I then took off the rotor and inspected the tone ring which looked good. All of the teeth looked undamaged with no rust build up or anything. I cleaned it up while I was in there. I then replaced the connector to the sensor because I figured that wouldn't hurt anything and the old connector was a little hard to work anymore. It still gives the same code C1035 in addition to C2200.
For those who are experienced with the ABS codes, does anyone know if a bad ABS module can throw an error code for just one wheel speed sensor in addition to C2200? I don't want to waste anymore time troubleshooting it if the problem is likely the ABS unit that I need to replace anyway. However, if the ABS unit typically only throws C2200 by itself then I'd like to fix the C1035 code now so when the ABS unit is finally available the only thing I will need to do is replace that part and reflash without having to worry about then fixing the C1035 too.
