Hello everyone first time poster here. I am looking to buy a Jeep for me and my wife as a secondary vehicle. I've located one on marketplace I like alot. Has the look and components I want. Drove it last weekend and drove fine. Just wanted to get some thoughts on if it would be a good or bad decision.

2013 JKU Sahara
135k miles
AEV 3.5 lift, 35" tires and wheels installed at 100k miles
Car has been owned by 2 families and seems to be taken well care of.
Current owner just spend 2k on brake rotors, pads, calipers and tie rods and adjustment.

My main question is what can be expected, service/maintenance wise, on a jeep with 135k miles? I know this has probably been asked alot guys so don't kill me but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Price of vehicle is low 20's. Seems like a fair price but would like any feedback.

I would start by taking a good look underneath to see if there is any damage or rust etc. Second 2013 is the second year with the 3.6 and there has been issues with the rocker / cam (and I think head issues), but based on the mileage I would assume it has been fixed or this engine didn’t have a problem. Could have a mechanic look at it.

The AEV lift is a quality lift and assuming they did it correctly is great. A couple of things to look for is geometry correction brackets installed or adjustable control arms. They also should have installed spacer (or other exhaust mod’) for the exhaust system. The other option would be a aftermarket drive shaft which I believe would not require any exhaust mods.

I believe the 3.5” lift comes standard with the brackets so they should be installed. With the 35” you may or not notice issues with power, it depends on the gear ratio. At minimum I would think you would want 3.73 ratio.

If you have the VIN number you can enter in the link below which should give you the original build sheet.

I too found a high mileage JKU that was almost exactly what we wanted.
Our 2015 had 136K on it, but the interior, engine bay, and underside were IMMACULATE.
We weren't looking for white, but with the condition of this one, it struck a chord with both of us and it's now in the garage next to the '03 TJ & my Charger is on the street with a sign in the window.
I haven't found any issues yet, only minor, cosmetic stuff like a missing console button, and plastic cover for the rear seat belt anchor.
Looking forward to getting it in the dirt soon.
