Hello everyone, I'm having a issue that I'm struggling to troubleshoot. When the key is on or engine is running my brake lights stay on. The third brake light works as it should, with the key off the brake lights work as they should. Since this issue has started I have replaced the stop light switch and clock spring but are still getting the following codes; p0572, U1408, C1000 and c107c, the brake lights continue to stay on. All of my wheel speed sensors are reading correctly. Does anyone have any ideas of what to look further at?

Don't know if this is your problem, but bad or dirty grounds is the leading cause of electrical problems. Dirty or the junk Factory battery clamps will cause issues also.

I did and when I started having issues I switch back to oem brake/tail lights

I don't know if doing a ECM reset would do anything for that or not, it also could be a Tipm issue since about all the electrical goes through it.

Just for the heck of it remove the tail bulbs and test the pins in the socket for power where the bulbs touch.

I was going to try and do a ecu reset but since it thinks the brakes are partially engaged I'm unable to do a reset
Did you just replace the bulbs to LED or a whole new LED housing? Did you replace anything else to LED?

That was a good call, it shut the brake lights off, but now the brake lights won't come on except for 3rd brake. I'm gonna swap out with a new lamp switch and I'm suspecting I'll be good to go, thank you again

Oddly, the brake lights are intimately connected to the DRL settings.
Be sure you have not altered the DRL settings w/ JSCAN.
When I messed with these settings
(non-LED lights) it eliminated my brake lights.
When I reset them, the brake lights came back to life.

I think Rube Goldburg was a MOPAR engineer... Rube-icon seems to be a fitting name.

This must be something in the 2012 and after.
I turned off the DRL using JSCAN on my 2008 as using halo’s for DRL and brake lights were not effected at all?
