After todays events, I'm curious. Are all JK Rubicon axle shafts the same length? I'm prepping for an upcoming 3000 mile road trip in my 2010 JKR so I've been kind of on an ordering spree. I ordered the Teraflex Tera44 chromoly axle shafts and new unit hubs, I figured at just over 100,000 miles it's probably time so I'd do it all at once. I finally got around to working on it today and the kit I ordered( TeraFlex J140847 ) is very wrong. The short side is 3/4" short and the long side is damn near 1.5" too long. After a bunch of time on the phone with XT(the tech was actually very helpful) the correct kit is TeraFlex J140869 it matches lengths perfectly. RMA issued, repacked, shipping back tomorrow to exchange for the correct one.
In the interest of helping others avoid this same frustration, is there a difference in model years that would call for different shaft lengths?
