Any fisherman in here?

So I need some help deciding what to get. My wife and I just bought everything needed to be able to legally drive on the beaches here in Delaware and fish from the shore. Except one thing....we have no fishing pole
I’m not sure which is easier to use / troubleshoot as far as a reel goes. I have my eye on this set-up

but am not sure if a traditional reel with a bale is simpler. Any help would be appreciated

I would reccomend something longer for shore casting, anything 10 or 12 feet long with a heavy action good for at least 30lb line will work. I've got a 10ft ugly stick with some cheap 50lb braid I take take to work to cast off the the deck after hours while at anchor. It'll does the job with soft bait or what we usually use up here for rock fish and ling cod Buzz bombs.

Other than horseshoe crabs, that’s all I’ve been catching too....lol
