Aftermarket shift knob too small for wrangler

I recently bought a aftermarket shift knob and after trying to put it on a realized the threaded hole is too small to fit onto the jeep. I spent an entire day looking for adapters and other hardware that be able to get it to fit but haven't found anything. Does anyone know of a way or peice of hardware that could get it to fit?

What does the end of it look like? Pictures would help. I doubt you'll find an adapter (I'd bet you won't), but you could potentially drill out the end and enlarge it if it's too small.
