Good morning fellow JK owners.
I recently undertook changing my clutch master cylinder and I found several references to backing off the 4 brake booster bolts under the firewall. Problem is, mine are off center and behind the firewall, not through the hole.
I removed the master cylinder by removing the aluminum plate with the engine bay 4 studs/nuts and removed it all in hopes of finding what to adjust to center up these bolts. Picture posted to show the studs off center. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the dash bracket that has the studs for holding that aluminum plate? I need to shift it about a cm to the driver side.
I know I could put it back together as is, but I'd rather avoid this in the future. It seems this also throws off the dimensions of the brake pushrod, as the brake pedal arm has the previous owners engineered duct tape fix for the brake light switch since the pedal couldn't reach it from the increased distance caused by the bolts.
Thanks in advance.
