While I wasn't really looking to add a Jeep, when my oldest decided to sell his XJ, I snagged it on the cheap
2000 XJ Sport that he bought from his wifes uncle who had bought it for a father/son project, except son wasn't really interested so my son jumped in and helped him finish it and eventually bought it. 145k miles on the 4.0/AW4, very little rust, and the interior is exceptionally clean with no tears in the seats or cracks in the dash. I'm using this as a daily driver to keep some miles off the JK and just to keep it nice and have something to drive while I work on the JK. Eventually, I may set it up as more of an overlanding rig. The list of things done is entirely to long to type but here's the highlights-
JKS swaybar disconnects
2" OME lift
new exhaust
Flat flares
aftermarket rims
Smittybuilt XRC rear bumper/tire carrier
31x10.50x15 Hankook AT's
new alternator
new serpentine belt
new belt tensioner
new front hubs

fresh alignment
and a whole pile of parts, lol!
