Hi! I have a 2015 JKU, and for the last few years, once in a blue moon, the A/C fan doesn’t come on or comes on several minutes after turning it on, and it has recently become much more frequent. When it does come on, the air blows as it should and is plenty cold, but it’s like there’s a short in the fan switch or motor or something. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it? TIA!!! :-)

Here are a few things you can check:

Fan Relay: Sometimes, the relay can cause intermittent issues. Try swapping the relay with another one in the fuse box (just make sure it’s the same type) to see if that resolves the issue.

Wiring and Connectors: Inspect the wiring and connectors around the fan motor for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections. Sometimes, a simple disconnection and reconnection can help.

A/C Control Module: The control module might be having issues as well, especially if the fan behaves erratically. It could be worth getting it checked.

Blower Motor: If the blower motor is starting to fail, it could be causing the intermittent operation. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can test the motor directly for better insights.

Climate Control System: Make sure the settings on your climate control are all functioning correctly. Sometimes, a malfunction within the controls can cause what seems like a fan issue.

Thank you so much! I’ll get started! 😁
