8 years with Plain Jane the JK

I purchased some similar Rigid boxes on sale from the depot. They have worked out well! I think any of these, regardless of brand, will serve you well. For me it came down to the size and features - I wasn't looking for any particular brand. The Rigid roller base has wheels on the narrow end which worked better for my application.
I agree, tons of variations of this idea out there.

No I don't, that is freaking awesome! Lol, is it 20v? I've got a 12v aux plug in the back of my jeep. Thought about looking for a small cooler/fridge. On another note, can you tell me what brand you're roof rack is? Any holes to drill? Can you get the front roof panels off?
It’s a non powered ice chest not a fridge unfortunately. That would have been really cool to use one of the rechargeable dewalt 20v to run it or something similar.

It’s a gobi rack, no drilling, I have an optional removable panel that covers the front part of the top but without it installed you can take out the panels. I added it to get use of the full length of the rack for camping.

Having at least one ladder on one side really stiffens it up and prevents wobbles. My rear mounts are custom because the last 4-6” of my frame is cutoff for the savvy high clearance rear bumper. If you have stock bumpers or aftermarket they make a few different rear mounts. All bolt on.

We tried to go camping this weekend. It didn’t all go so well so we ended up doing a long single day trip and hard hike. We had the jeep all loaded up for all 5 of us, hiking, cooking and camping. The hike didn’t really as planned and we bailed on camping, went to town for dinner and then roadtripped home. Oh well.
