Hey Chris. I was looking at these charts I’ve been looking to see how many 2015 jku’s altitude models were built. I thought they were based on the Sahara package? After buying it an my insurance company has it as a wrangler unlimited sport. It came with the rock rails with the tube like a small step. The power bulge hood an 18 inch black Sahara wheels. Just wondering?

I'm not 100% sure if it's based on a Wrangler Sport or Sahara, though I would think it's the latter, especially being that the Sahara model is highly optioned.

That’s the thing. Ours has leather heated seats. Power windows and locks. Rear window defrost and wiper. Navigation. It’s loaded. Came with 18 Sahara wheels but they are black. It had factory rock rails with a small step tube added to it. It has the power bulge hood on it also. It took us a while to find a jku with the options on it for the wife, tha was leather and navigation, power windows.

tbh those numbers sound about right. jeep was cranking them out like crazy during that whole run. lots of people buying them stock then modding the hell out of em which is what we all did anyway lol

the unlimited versions always outsold the 2-doors which makes sense i guess. more practical or whatever. my first JK was a 2-door and it was a pain sometimes ngl, but way funner to throw around.

you looking at buying one or just curious about the market? decent time to grab used ones right now if the price is right. some are beat to hell from mall crawling tho so gotta check em out good

No, I have a 2010 Islander JKU with a 6 speed in Surf Blue Pearl. I found out that there were VERY few made with this combo. There are probably less than 100 on the road...if that many! I was just trying to find out if anyone else knew of this combination....

We've got a 2010 Islander too, though a 4-speed Auto...

I believe there were ~2500 total Islanders made, most in blue, but silver, black, and white were made. I've never seen a black or white version, but did see a single silver version around the same time as we got ours about 3 years ago, in the parking lot of a restaurant. I've never seen it since...
