So my girlfriend has a 2017 jk. She recently had to have a new transmission installed. Come to find out it's more than likely a remaned one they sold it to her as a new one. Problem is now it's not shifting like normal gets to id say about 6k before shifting at normal operating speed. Also with that the trans temp gets to like 240 if your on the interstate and going up hill. Shops saying speed sensors aren't syncing correctly but there's no check engine light on. I'm wondering if I do the ecm reset if that would help or if anyone has other suggestions that would be great. As far as I can tell the fans and everything are in working order as it doesn't overheat when at idle just when it revs high on the shifts and or just simply won't up shift. Really starting to think the shop put a lemon in it or something is just not on the same page as the ecm.

Does it have the stock size tires on it?

I'm not sure the shops being ridiculous about answering any questions witch is why I'm pretty sure they put a lemon in it. They told her to just keep driving it and it would sort itself out. Also reason number 1 why I work on my own vehicles.

It'l never sort it's self out if the Speedometer wasn't recalibrated so that it can shift right.

Yeah I'm feeling dumb for not thinking about that even. The shops telling her still it's a wheel speed sensor but that would throw a code correct? It's been about 2 months since it was installed and has been doing this ever since even put it in limp mode once or twice

Just check the speedometer with a GPS.
