09 Wrangler Right Rear Wheel Sensor Broke In Wheel Hub

How on earth did that happen? Have you inspected the rear axle and components around that area? I wonder if something from the road jumped up and got stuck in there?
Everything looked normal. I looked in the hole and didn’t see anything, it may have fallen to the bottom. Is it possible it fell out after it broke? I don’t have a lift, just crawling underneath.
