08 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited differential issues

Hello all,
I have a 08 wrangler Sahara unlimited and when the Jeep is on 4 jacks the tires will spin. However, once I am ready to take hacer for a spin I put it in 1st gear and the jeep will move 8 inches and will not allow me to go further. I can drive backwards more but I cannot drive forward. It is a 4x4 but I am stumped. Any advice of what it can be? Is it a locker issue? I saw that rubicons have lockers but I don’t know if my wrangler Sahara unlimited have them? I added photos of the diff.

You don't have a locker so that's not your problem. Did you look at the ring and pinion gears to see if all the teeth were there?

Have you checked your brakes, I have heard where a caliper bolt will fall out and cause that problem.
 
No I did not but I looked with the cover off and the crown teeth look good but I will have to pull the crown and pinion out to see correct?

No you don't have to pull it out just turn a tire and the gear and pinion will move and look at them, might need a flashlight to see the pinion gear.

Do you have any codes? Any indicators of a problem before it stopped working (noises, etc?)

Is the shift lever working correctly to put it in gear?

What's the trans fluid level look like?

I will check the codes tomorrow and I have no problem putting it in gear.
