I think they’re screwing with you. From what I can tell Jeep still makes heads for the 3.8. You can even get the full rebuilt engine - R8144470AD. They just don’t want to cover the cost and labor associated with the fix. They are not listed as discontinued on any dealer site I’ve searched...
