    Need help identifying bolt

It’s an M6x1.0 hex bolt. Just not sure the length. I’ve seen 25mm, 30mm, etc. When I put the broken bolt together it measures about 40mm. I don't know if I’m getting a correct length since it broke though. Was hoping I could find a parts diagram or someone might know offhand.

    Need help identifying bolt

I have it. I can’t figure the proper length for replacement, however. I’ve looked online with no luck. How can determine the correct size?

    Need help identifying bolt

I am tryIng to identify the correct size of the bolt in the first picture. It goes into the Shield to Battery Bracket Pin Retainer (Mopar #06510358AA). It is located on the driver side of the engine bay. The Pin Retainer comes up from the underside. I snapped it accidentally working on the...

    Ball Joint Press Kit

Looking to replace my upper and lower ball joints and I'm trying to learn more about the ball joint press kit tool I've seen in videos. Some are 10 pieces, others are 21. Is there a specific brand or feature I need to be looking for? I was planning to rent one but I found a kit at Lowe's that is...

    Nitrogen in tires

I came across the chalk test in another post and that's what finally got me to ask about the tires. Max PSI is listed at 80.

    Nitrogen in tires

I'm running LT275/70R17 General Grabbers. Came with my 2015 JK when purchased. One question I haven't gotten around to asking is if they are nitrogen-filled tires. The plugs in the image below are on the tires so I'm thinking that is the case. Does anyone know about this? Trying to understand if...

    JK driveline shudder

I experience a similar, if not the same, issue. Mine doesn’t kick in until 45 mph. I’d describe it as a similar noise/sensation. Also sounds like a subwoofer. I’ve done a lot of research, but not a lot of changes since my Jeep is stored for winter. I do have a failed CV joint in my front...

    Steering dampner help

So going back to my original issue (vibration at 45 mph) - any thoughts as to this being the culprit?

    Steering dampner help

Haven’t replied in a while… been too busy to keep digging into this issue. But I did have some time recently to discover this on my front driveshaft CV joint. Looks burst to me. Am I diagnosing this correctly? My Jeep is not lifted.

    Steering dampner help

Thanks! It does not look like it’s missing weight assuming it would have had 3 on there.

How do I determine if a driveshaft lost a weight?

Interesting. Appreciate the input. How much did that set you back? Do you recall?

    Steering dampner help

Best way I can describe the sensation is: it sounds/feels like I’ve a good subwoofer. It rattles the back window (I have a hardtop). Feels like it originates up front. It is not death wobble.

    Steering dampner help

The conversation has wandered a bit from the initial topic. I'm trying to identify a vibration that hits around 40-45 mph. The steering seems ok to me. My mechanic suggested a steering stabilizer. I'm trying to find the issue causing the vibration.

What about the air dam? It is quite loose. Can I remove that? Or does it serve a purpose? For reference it is this part:

    Steering dampner help

Quick update. Rotated and balanced tires. Had a leaky axel seal in the front that I replaced. Still getting the vibration.

    Steering dampner help

Cleaned up the mud and took it for a spin. It didn't doo much. Although, I got the vibration around 50mph and I'll say it seemed to lessen a bit once I had been driving for a bit. Maybe it had some impact but there is something else causing the vibration. I'll keep at it and will be sure to...
