I know that pulling it and a re install is extra but that’s actually a good price for a rebuilt motor. I was in over 8k by the time it was back on the road.
Hi, I’m still a member, it wasn’t good, if you read the post from threepointsix, I had the exact same problem, I installed a long block and added an aluminum oil cooler. I’ve got 11000 miles since rebuild and running fine.
Then you would only need the wiper kit from the dealer. It comes with the wiring and the additional controls that go on the steering arm. That does have to come apart to install.
You are correct, It is a royal PITA. I think Jeep sells a kit which also includes everything Im not sure if the rear wiper motor is included. (Might be extra)
You can find online videos of hack installs
For the dash mount but you still need the kit. Dealer install is $$$,
My 14 had the exact same thing. It was coming from behind the timing chain. Supports, guides/bearing. Pull the pan.
It will tell if your issue is deep within.
It cost me a new engine. Repairs exceeded
cost vs replacement. When it finally goes it’ll leave you stranded.
