When it gets close to 180 the thermostat opens up until the temp hits 170 then will close . So I know it’s a 180 thermostat just wondering if a previous owner put a lower temp one in. It’s ran fine for 4 years so ….

So is a 180 degree thermostat stock on a 08 Jk? Never really noticed until I was checking with a OBD phone app. I’m thinking if it was not supposed to be there the ECM would let me know. Just seems like a low coolant temp.

My Bedtred was not cut for drain plugs.

This is what I did and it helped a lot. Added weather stripping to stop water from running down that channel.

The only problem I had with my old top was the back window. Zipper was shot and it was a horrible experience taking it off and putting it back on.

Around $4500 with install. I really want it but keep talking myself out of it.

Got the new soft top on. Just a Smittybilt because I think the next one I get will be one the motorized MyTop auto tops.

The paint on my fender flares ( Sahara) has seen better days . Thinking of just putting the black plastic on. Can get a set for about $290 on Extreme Terrain. But…. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a Sahara right? Still I think it will look just fine.

Ordered a new soft top. The zipper on the back window on my current top is toast. Should be here in a week.

Took her out and played around with the shifter. That thing is butter now. Been kinda jerky and soft for the last year or so. Now it’s smooth .

Are you talking brand? Bestop is what I would recommend . I went cheap with a smittybuilt and have regretted it ever since.

I would cancel the warranty and get the prorated refund . The more I read mine the less I saw it really covered . So…. Called cancelled and got some of my money back.
