Bad blend door actuator? No heat, lots of cold

Sounds like a blend door actuator. Happened on my 2014 years ago when it was still under warranty. Could hear the clicking of the relay, but nothing worked except the AC. The shop charge was about $140, although it was covered by warranty, I saw what they were billing Stellantis for the work...

Turning off the center console USB port

A USB port, just like an unused electrical outlet in your house, does not draw electricity until the circuit is closed (plugging something into the outlet or plugging the phone into the port. Even leaving a USB cord in the port will not close the circuit. The phone closes the circuit and draws...

    Coolant leak

My reservoir has 2 different max lines- one for cold and one for hot. These max lines tell you where the coolant level in the reservoir should be when the vehicle is hot or cold. If you filled it to the "hot" max line when it was cold, or vice versa, you're not properly filling the system. I do...

    Coolant leak

Wait.... what/how filled the reservoir to the max? Can you please explain that a little more, because it reads like you're adding coolant via the reservoir?

    Coolant leak

There's a chance it was over-filled? There are 2 separate hot and cold reservoir levels, have you checked both of them before driving (cold) and after driving (hot)?

    Coolant leak

Where on the passenger side? Toward the front end, up near the radiator? Or, further back, closer to the firewall?

    Hardtop interior cleaning

Wife pointed out mine were dirty, too. I just snarled.... her with her new Tahoe and the mobile detailing service she has to come and clean it a couple times a month.... how dare she? But, I have given some thought to painting the inside of the freedom panels- anyone tried that?

    Trying for a second key.

So, when my fob got worn to the point it wouldn't work half the time, I simple ordered a key blank fob off Amazon, replaced the entire fob onto my old key and all is good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BNPX4E4/?tag=jkforum-20

What rear diff do I have?

That same tag, near the oil fill plug, will say "LSD," as well as tell you what oil to use. If you're still unsure, just lift one wheel off the ground and see if it rotates (neutral, no e-brake) while the other is on the ground. The best way is to enter the VIN as shown in the post above. The...

What rear diff do I have?

Or just look on the rear side of the rear diff and see if there's a tag on the cover: Or enter your VIN : https://www.roughwheelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/jeep-vin-buildsheet.html

Water leaking after a rain or going through carwash

I did that about 10 days ago or so, lol. Took a back road to cut through an area too close to the Tar River and had to crawl through high water. Took about 5 seconds to remember the driver's side plug was in the console. Brings up a question for those who may have an answer... If I pull all...

    Brackets on rear roll bar

My 2014 JKU hardtop doesn't have these. Your picture shows a hardtop as well, do you know if the vehicle was factory delivered with a hard or soft top?

    Is my starter actually bad?

I'm pretty sure that plastic sleeve is not supposed to be down around the bendix gear. When you turn the key, the bendix gear slides out and engages the flywheel. I believe that plastic sleeve is supposed to remain up inside. It looks like the flywheel has engaged the plastic. The entire bendix...

08 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited making squeaky noise when steering wheel is turning left/right stationary

Your ball joints are shot. And if they're making that same noise while driving normally on a flat road surface, I would advise against driving the vehicle until you get them replaced. Understand, a bad ball joint, if left alone and not replaced, will ultimately result in breaking your front end...

    USSPEEDO Insert Frustration

I read on another forum the gauge cluster needs to recalibrated even if a refacing is done. I have no idea whether or not this is correct, but I'm just throwing it out there.

    Overheating on 2015 JKU

Let's not forget how many times we've heard of people changing multiple thermostats before finally getting one that functions as it should. If you have JScan, set up your phone so you can see it while you've got the hood up. Cold start your JKU and wrap your hand around the upper hose and...

    Spare Tire Delete (Convince Me)

The equipped scissor jack doesn't have enough to lift the Jeep. It does if I carry 4-5 2x10 pieces of lumber to stack it on.

    Spare Tire Delete (Convince Me)

I've been tossing around the idea of going "spareless" as well. As has been mentioned: 1. I do not have a hi-lift jack and I would need one with 35s and a 2.5" lift. 2. Putting the spare in the roof rack is not an option. The wheel (moto Metal 962 @ 35.4lbs) and tire (BFG TA KO2 @ 63lbs) make...
