I put the cover on because finally in our area of NY we are getting snow tonight and tomorrow. I also don't feel like taking all the snow off cuz "ain't nobody got time for that!"

Added a Tail Light on the Wheel

The night time picture is terrible but was the best I could take without taking out my DSLR which would have been a bit extra. But nonetheless, 20 bucks for a cool extra tail light. Not a bad add on if I may say so. And the girlfriend approved because of it "being an extra safety feature"...

    Jeep shock bolts headache

Ok people. This is how you tighten down the bilstein 4600s at the front shock. Pull down the rubber cover, put a rag around the shaft, put vice grips on it so as not to scratch the shaft and tighten it. Worked like a breeze. And now the grommet is thw same width as the washer

Tried trimming the allen wrench that was a disaster. I just took her for a spin. The nylock nuts didn't move. Could it be they're supposed to install like that? Just screw them on until it hits the nylon?

    Jeep shock bolts headache

I read somewhere too that pressing down harder on top as you turn the lock nut might do it too?

    Jeep shock bolts headache

Wait so they don't make shorter arm allen wrenches? It seems like this allen key thing is the only way to go unless I just use a non nylon nut

    Jeep shock bolts headache

Anybody install the bilsteins 4600s before? I got the lock nut down and she's on the stem but doesn't seem to be getting the upper bushing to be approximately the same width as the upper washer as per the instructions. Weight is on the tires again

    Jeep shock bolts headache

I got it under other Jack's its sitting on and jack stands. I totally hear ya and appreciate the heads up. It was just a 1 more time before heading in to see if jacking it up a hair more from the front would relieve the bolt more

    Jeep shock bolts headache

Yeah been trying variations of that. These may be 15 year old bolts that haven't ever been moved. Gonna try more tomorrow. So amazed how hard it's been to get out
