    Transmission fluid check

Yeah 30 bucks is totally worth it. We'll have many uses for it. Gonna grab a wix filter too and start gathering the stuff to hit this in a couple weeks. Will also give the lube locker a try. I think going with the permatex has a risk of going wrong with too much of a bead etc. I'll get some...

    Transmission fluid check

Yeah I'm following this guy's videos. He's made alot of stuff with the years of jeep that's in line with mine. The other video was just to show the method of drawing out some fluid from the pan so as to minimize mess and have an accurate reading of how much to put back in knowing how much came out

    Transmission fluid check

Sucking from the dip stick might reduce the amount of mess that can happen when draining into the pan correct? I've seen that done. I don't do off roading much. Front and rear axles would be for another day. haha

What's people's experience with using other store bought atf+4 transmission fluid vs mopar? It says to use mopar on the dip stick. I mean I know I'm going to go with that ( just checked transmission fluid while hot and idling, Def need to add some) I have some atf+4 STP and it's gonna take a...

    Transmission fluid check

I've heard some good and bad stories with changing the pan. I dunno at 196k I'd be happy if the transmission didn't die on me first before changing the fluid again haha

    Transmission fluid check

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BOU6UJA/?tag=jkforum-20 it looks like they do. Thats cool to know. My research so far has shown that jeep jks from 2007-2013 used the 42RLE which this one is. Then I guess a MOPAR filter or something is standard with that?

    Transmission fluid check

yeah we're the original owners. We've had her for 15 years now so not sure when or if we've done it. We have never gone off roading, some hauling here and there but nothing regular. There are some good videos out there with tips. Main challenging part is putting permatex as a gasket on and...

Just wanted to check my transmission fluid cuz ya know why not. The engine is cold and the fluid was above the hot dots. Is that a problem? Nothing wrong with the shifting just was curious. And what do you think about the color? When do you think it is dirty? To me it looks red orange and...

2008 JK 2 door soft top compatible roof rack options?

Revisiting this again. Anybody else have any roof rack experiences they can share? The Gobi looks good but the rugged ridge one where you can easily tilt it back to take sift too down seems pretty essential. The Gobi one doesn't seem to mention an ability to do that. The ability put a tent...

The rickety 2008 is back! P0128

Update! It's been a few days since I changed it Sunday and I've driven a bit and on Sunday I changed the coolant sensor as I had changed the t Stat no long ago. So far so good! If it comes back on though I'll do the t Stat next. Om the original there was slight seepage around the threads.
