Need help with a 2009 JK part number.

I'm unsure if they have those exact ones, but at least here is Wisconsin, Oreille's and AdvanceAuto have sections of special bolts and plastic things like this. I was able to find the retention snaps for the fenders there, the carpet stays seem like they should be even more common.

What's with this digital compass that always says I'm heading East?

A magnetic phone mount can mess these up as well FYI. The sensor is middle of the dash above the radio.

Bf Goodrich AT ko2 on stock rims.

Here is site that has a ton of information with regards to tires. https://tiresize.com/chart/ I linked the chart part, hopefully for 18 inch, but you should be able to figure it out. The more companies that make a tire size, the easier time you will have getting it. That being said, I'm...

    Overheating at highway speeds

I would make sure that you haven't mixed coolant types. For some reason, the auto industry thought it would be a good idea to update the coolant type with something that can turn into gel if mixed with the old type. for this reason I only get the universal type it can mix with either. I think a...

JL Bumper and Airbag Sensor Question

I didn't realize that JL bumpers were direct fit for JKs. Is that front and back?

07 Rubicon soft top leak finally fixed

For others that find this thread, up through 2009, the soft tops on Jeeps used a plastic rib above the doors and the top slotted into the door surrounds. Similar to the bottom of the back side windows. If you are going to buy replacement material for your top, you need to ensure that you get...

Can someone please tell me what this hard top piece is?

These are a convenience for people that may take their top off away from home. I personally use a power tool when taking the top off and never do it at some random place. I've heard that the wing nuts work fine and would probably be faster than using a hand wrench. I'm curious if they actually...

Where is the rear power port wiring be located?

If there is wiring it would be on the right side. The second image is the guide for the tailgate, don't mess with that. If it get's out of alignment, your gate can close wonky. Beyond that, I'm unsure what the "this" is in your question.

    Ticking after oil change

Did you put in the full six quarts and the dip stick is reading between the marks and change the filter? These may seem like silly questions, but occasionally they point out things that got missed.

2011 Wrangler Unlimited Sport roof issue

I'm fairly certain it is part of the frame, however a google for 'wrangler JK soft top fabric replacement' should lead you to some videos that show the process and indirectly tell you the answer. A few of them are going to be for the older type top without the cable system.

2011 Wrangler Unlimited Sport roof issue

I used flex tape on when my TJ top started to rip. two pieces, one inside and one out. It held for a year before I got a new top. Probably the best easy option. Clean around the hole well before using tape. My top was probably twenty years old, so I was just trying to help it survive a bit...

    Rear clunking when hitting bumps.

Yep, those are the ones, at least in appearance, that I installed. Mine have a grease zert, I can't tell if those amazon ones do as well. It took longer than anticipated for me to do the swap for the simple reason I discovered rust under the old hinges, so I had to sand and paint before the...

2.5" lift, 3.0 caster, do I need lower control arms

Did they give you a printout of the alignment? Not all places are good at doing an alignment on a 4x4... or even just doing alignments. I had to take mine back to the place after they 'aligned' it and the steering wheel was at 1 oclock when driving straight.

    Oil Level Confusion

It may say 5.5, but after running there is a bit held in the filter. Always change the filter, and then add six quarts. When you check the dip stick wipe it off on a clean rag and then reinsert and recheck. Every time. The oil will slosh around and end up higher on the stick, so you wipe it...

Loose connector, anyone know what this is?

my guess would be an aftermarket headlight thing. Poke around and see if there is another one on the other side. I'll try and look around my 2009, but I've been in that area of the jeep before and don't remember seeing anything like that. I did have to connect to a line near there to get...

Advice on rust spots on body

I'm fairly sure that is a 2012 model, not 2010, based on seats, steering wheel, and color. That is the first year for the 3.6 engine, a bit of a problem year, but not inherently bad vehicles.

    JK questions on potential purchase

To give you the 3.8 vs 3.6 from my perspective having owned both. I would rather have the 3.6 for the power. I much prefer working on the 3.8. My current is a 2009 JKU rubicon with 205K on it. The oil goes somewhere and I'm chasing an issue with the coolant not always getting pulled back...

New to jeeps want a better riding Jeep

I would agree. I'm guessing that the shocks are too short. Mine came with the lift I have (teraflex 2.5 with 9550 shocks) and I am super happy with the ride. Regardless of what shocks you go with, you really need to make sure that you have the correct length for the lift.

Jeep making whining noise when accelerating with AC on

AC clutch. The pulley for the AC is always spinning along with the serp belt. When you turn on the AC the computer engages the clutch and thus powers the AC compressor. Have this looked at, if it is screaming at you eventually it will just fail, potentially costing a lot more.

Is the Bestop brand still the go to brand for soft tops?

Yes, Bestop are still OEM and the best aftermarket. There are some variations in their aftermarket. I just haunted craigslist for a bit and got an unused OEM one a couple years ago super cheap. Just make sure you get one from 2010 or newer.
