2008 Wrangler 3.8 Coolant Temp Issue

To get rid of the change oil alarm, turn on the ignition without starting the vehicle and then fully depress the gas pedal three times.

    JKU Overland alarm!

I don't think mine does that, but there are differences across years, and especially across the pond. I initially misunderstood what you were saying with that point, so don't worry about it too much. Hopefully if it a new battery it's good, but they can fail prematurely for all kinds of...

    Tow package question

Part of the issue here is the mix-up in terminology. For us, the receiver is the square hole in the rear of the jeep that accepts the hitch. The hitch is a piece of angled metal that has the ball that the trailer rides on. What do you have? Is the hook you are talking about on the left side...

    JKU Overland alarm!

Factory alarm system is pretty basic. The only time I set mine off is in the summer I reach in and try to open the doors from the inside when the jeep is locked. There is no motion aspect to it that I'm aware of. I would have your battery tested to see is it is failing. The dimming of the...

    Tow package question

Wranglers are never more than 3500 and that is the four door, the tow package doesn't change that. A dealer installed one would simply be a 2 inch receiver and the wiring. You probably won't even get the ball.

Dash lights going crazy, I've tried everything

Have you tried going to the company that installed all this stuff? This is screaming grounding / crossed wires issue. I honestly would have the same response as the dealer, this is almost certainly related to an aftermarket install mistake.

Does my 10th Anniversary JK have HID headlights?

HID is just anther way of saying Xenon, and would be about the bulb itself I think. It is not the same as LED headlights. The housing you have is just standard JK. I think that sticker might have just been generic one for all vehicles.

Yeah, the 3.6 is notoriously annoying to get the air out of. Congrats.

    New owner with rear noises

Nah, If anything the Recon is half way between a modern Cherokee and a Wrangler. Everything from that article is just guessing. The only things known about the Recon is what was said in the video released by Stelantis, our new overlords. We know nothing about the drive train, price, power...

    New owner with rear noises

I'll be honest. I'm extremely interested in the Recon. That may change when we learn more, but I'll hold onto either my TJ or JK and then get that, the doors off and easy roof sounds awesome for a daily driver.

    JK radio replacement

They finally started doing this eh? However this really sets a point to the suggestion of using Crutchfield, as they tell you 100% of what you need for an install.

    Heater/Coolant issues

I'm pretty sure this resets all doors, and it's worth a try because totally free, also my door worked fine. It just didn't move to the correct places. With regard to burping the system ensure you are keeping the radiator full as it is running. This is not a start it up and wander off kinda...

    New owner with rear noises

I would say that is the purpose of the Sahara badge and always has been. There are a number of other things that have happened over time because they legally can't produce something with TJ simplicity anymore. Much of the tech is required now, as it should be. The fact that the four door jeep...

Jeep Wrangler dash passenger side making weird noise

Use the info I provided in the post. I'm unsure how the sound, unless it's something very specific, would change my advice. That being said, you could try and describe the sound.

Jeep Wrangler dash passenger side making weird noise

yeah, it wants me to download. Are you on an Apple? I think .MOV are made by them usually and their stuff never plays nice with other things. Sorry, apple rant done.

    JK radio replacement

You will 100% need a canbus for steering controls, and if you have premium sound. I realize canbus is an annoying expense, but it really mates the radio to the jeep to maintain functionality.

    Heater/Coolant issues

There is a fuse... J4. J2.. something like that. I would have to pull it on occasion to reset some of the doors inside. It is one of the fuses that has a plastic housing that allows you to partially remove it easy. The label is something to do with HVAC I think. Sorry, I don't have a 3.6 atm, my...

What did you name your jeep?

I'm a bit boring, my jeeps are simply referred to by color or age. Blue Jeep / Old Jeep: is my 99 TJ (Gunmetal Pearl) Red Jeep/ New Jeep: is my 09 JKUR (Red Rock Crystal Pearl) I'm am not the original owner for either... probably not even the third

Jeep Wrangler dash passenger side making weird noise

Is there a different way for them to upload that? I would like to listen and help, but I'm not downloading anything to my computer. As stated though, based on general jeep knowledge, the blend door, which is the flap that directs where the cabin air comes from can fail. Sometimes it's just a...

    New owner with rear noises

JScan is a powerful app that allows you to change aspects your jeep such as tire size, how the lights work, and a ton of other things. Not to mention you can look at your engine codes and clear them. It's basically a doorway into the computer mind of your jeep. The app itself is free, however...
