Where do I find these bolts?

I hear ya. The last time I tried was probably 2018 or so, but it is never brought up in conversation as a place to go get stuff in my circles. That being said, their location is only a couple miles from Interstate 94 and they have a decent collection of vehicles, so I imagine most of the workers...

Heat blows hot on passenger's side but cold on driver's side

This has bothered me as well. While there are two 'doors' one for the heat / cold that typically gets called the blend door. There is also the gate that directs the air flow to different places in the vehicle. I'm unsure what to call that one, beyond the 'directing gate' or some such. One...

Where do I find these bolts?

I'm not suggesting that all of them are like this, just the one in my town. It's been a few years since I tried though.

Where do I find these bolts?

Fastenal sells to regular people by you? The one in my town will only work with businesses. Walk in and they ask "Contract number?" and then shoo you out when you don't have one. Our Auto Value has a really good bolt collection though.

    Jeep Wrangler stuck in park

I have a manual, so I'm unsure what you mean by manual override. Is it working fine now or is the problem persisting? I agree that is sounds like an electrical problem. On jeeps, (and many other vehicles) if a ground starts to go bad, all kinds of wackyness can happen. The schematics for...

    2009 manual to auto swap

Especially considering how much better the manual is for the 3.8 engine. (2007-2011) Specifically, if you have larger than stock tires on it and it's not a rubicon the auto trans will be a massive downgrade in performance. Even for the Rubicon, anything over 32" tires will feel like you are...

Trying to make decision on tire size for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Is the hood insulation getting sucked into the air intake? I do see your torque curve for the YJ. Older engines had a much lower torque curve. I have a TJ with a 4.0 and a 3.8 JK. Both are manual and I shift around 700 rpms lower on the TJ than the JK. And your 3.6 is even higher torque curve...

Trying to make decision on tire size for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Give another try at explaining what's happening. This paragraph is a bit of a brain dump and is hard for me to follow, I may be tired and already getting into Monday morning mode though.

    Spare Tire Offset Questions

My first thought when looking at that was "those rear tires would be slipping all over my lawn. Useless."

    Spare Tire Offset Questions

Just like everything wheel and tire related, the measurement standards were decided by an engineer with a substance abuse problem. Negative offset moves the tire farther away from the vehicle. (0mm offset is the mounting surface is dead center of the wheel front to back.) And before I go any...

Trying to make decision on tire size for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I looked back at the tire size to dif ratio chart and I had forgotten how much difference there is between manual and automatic for the 3.8. I have a Manual and can go with a much bigger tire than the auto can before issue show up. Based on that, I would stick with close to stock size...

    Spare Tire Offset Questions

This is my main argument for doing a five tire rotation. (Not the manual) If you only do four tire, then you are stuck with a particular size / brand of tire or having a non matching one bolted to the rear of the vehicle limiting its usefulness. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ This website...

Trying to make decision on tire size for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

TireSize.com Calculator Use this link to get a pretty good idea of what the actual size of tires will be. I have a 2009 Rubicon that I put 285 70 r17s on, and initially with factory wheels they didn't fit. I had to get new wheels with a different offset for them to work. They were a bit too...

Will this factory amp fit my 2007 JK?

So the factory amp was missing as it had been removed, or was it never there? Only models with the premium sound package got the amp. In the US at least. Not sure about Eastern Europe.

Is it normal to have a lot of engine heat in driver's side interior?

It's really the primary thing that would allow engine heat to get into the cab. I imagine that at speed, there is higher air pressure on the system that can push air past the core and other seals that are not as good after over a decade.

Is it normal to have a lot of engine heat in driver's side interior?

I wonder if the heater core is more exposed to the interior than it should be. I've seen heater core shut offs on older vehicles (not jeeps) for similar reasons. Mind, I don't advocate doing this. You could as a temporary experiment short out the heat core lines so they don't flow through the...

Another oil cooler bites the dust

Someplace on here I posted a video of a guy that looked at his old oil cooler to figure out where the issue was and at least for him it was related to the cap for the filter. Basically, it was fixable without pulling stuff apart. I posted it in the last couple months or more recent. found it...

P06DD after Dorman oil cooler install

This is one of the big reasons I try not to get stuff from Amazon anymore. You have to pay such close attention to the postings so you get what you think you are getting. For some things, it's the only option available annoyingly. That being said, I've had luck with some of the cheap knockoffs...

What did you do to your JK today?

I try very hard not to buy anything from Amazon. I now see them as a slightly better version of Wish.com where you can't trust the reviews. I also focus at first on the negative reviews. That is where you will find the real ones. It's usually easy to parse out the ones that are user error. If...
