    Oil drain down

It does seem like many folks look for the least costly option and not the most effective. Oh well, it looks like I may trade in my '14 Sahara for a pickup truck. I still have an '08 Sahara where I spend the winter in Florida, that has 135,000+ miles and going strong. I traded my last truck...

To my knowledge there is no drain back valve in the filter housing or on the filter cartridge.

    Oil drain down

I know I may be way over thinking this thing and it is only an engine longevity concern if any. I will see about the installation of an oil gauge with the mechanic that does my work. I suspect he will tell me I am looking into a problem that does not exist. Still, some auto manufacturers...

    Oil drain down

I'm trying to understand what is happening with my '14 Sahara 3.6L engine, 65000 miles, when I turn it off and at startup regarding oil flow / drain down. Okay, here is what I think is happening, given that the oil filter housing sits in the valley with no check valve, once the engine is...

Backfire / popping noise when started

I would recheck and check again the spark plug wire installation. It is very easy to misplace a plug wire in the wrong spot on the coil.

Thoughts on this 2014 JKU? Good or bad deal?

For the North East I think it has average to less then average rust to the under side. Considering the current market, the price is on target too.

Best All Terran Tires to buy

    Oil filter housing (2015 jku)

Yeah, this looks very promising, it does not include the oil cooler. You need to remove the oil cooler and install it on the aluminium housing.

    P0306 Misfire Help

I can't remember where but I read about a similar problem and it was solved by rapping heat resistant tape around the wire loom and connectors on the right side of the engine. Might be worth a try.

Can’t seem to find a leak

If I am not mistaken, it is the other way around, hot coolant expands causing over flow if you over filed the reservoir when cool.

What backup camera are you using?

Yeah, it leaves you spare tire/mount free for brake lights or tire cover or if you choose removal.

    2015 JKU with codes P0203 and P0303

For my JK it was the camshaft position sensor. The symptoms were long crank times and/or running rough on initial startup. However, the difference being its an '08 with 137500 miles on it.

    2015 JKU with codes P0203 and P0303

It may seem strange but I had a similar experience when my camshaft sensor was getting weak.

Is anyone using ethanol free gas?

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking too. I know some folks prefer non-ethenol gas I guess it's just for that very reason, not for better performance or gas mileage.
