    General tune up advice wanted

thank you - I bought the plugs and wires and started poking around in the engine bay. Yowza - lots of the wire harness plastic coverings are brittle and grey, or are missing. I neatened some up, replaced some zip ties, and installed new covering over the alternator wire. I will have to...

    Spark plug question

Got the plugs and wires today - Bosch double platinum which crossed to OE. I noticed that one of my plug wire boots at the coil pack is a different color than the rest. Seems like whoever did this last could not get at the rear plug on the passenger side and just decided to leave it. I am...

Question about upgrading headlights to H4 bulbs

I installed the LED with Halo lights today - pretty straightforward. I did use the CANBUS anti flicker modules, and have not played around with the JScan app yet. I did not get as far as installing the LED fogs, but I will get there. Wondering if it's easier just to remove the bumper. I...

LED headlight flicker on Jeep Wrangler Renegade

one other thing to check - do both sides do it? If not, this is probably not it...but if you have a bad connection in the wiring somewhere - a cheap connector instead of spliced and soldered, for ex - that can cause a low voltage/high resistance connection and cause the issue. Similarly, if...

Looking to replace my stock seats from a 2007 2-door Jeep JK Wrangler X

you can easily add foam and batting to the stock seat and recover/reupholster it. I got simulated leather covers from Iggee which worked great. you could also take the seat to a local auto upholstery shop and have them rebuild and recover it for less than buying a whole new seat. or you could...

    Can I replace H13 with H4 connector?

yes, you can also cut off the h13 connector and wire in the H4 - be sure to use soldered connections with heat shrink over them or some other very solid connection to make the splice. If you are adding LED's though, you might need to add anti-flicker capacitor/diode filters which you can buy...

    Spark plug question

I don't know who actually makes "Mopar" plugs and they don't sell them at the auto parts store...only dealer or online. I usually buy NGK or Champion. Anyone know the correct OEM type part no.'s for those?

New to Jeep, What to look out for?

I just bought an 08 with no real idea of service history and 150K. plan to replace the air filter, plugs, wires and serpentine belt - also check all fluids and probably change/renew the coolant. Other than that, tire pressure and regular oil/filter changes. Someone suggested replacing the O2...

    Stuck in Reverse

failed shifter bushing at the stick end, or failed connection at the transmission end is my guess. The shifter bushing at the stick shift end seems to be a common issue just searching online...no personal experience (yet).

Question about upgrading headlights to H4 bulbs

No worries - we are all here to learn. I have been looking into all my options, including Halogen and HID. I think with Halogen, you might really want to run a straight to the battery harness - better voltage to bulbs = brighter bulbs. The reflectors in the stock lights with the H13 will be...

Question about upgrading headlights to H4 bulbs

So my 2008 probably does not have this feature I am guessing - but I will check. I just ordered the JSCAN app as well.

    General tune up advice wanted

Brakes look very good - done by the PO right after he got the jeep about a year ago. I pulled a wheel off (changing the rear shocks) and brakes all looked new. One down.
