My JK wants to drift all over the road.

If I'm reading that right you have about 4" lift there. You can bring it back down into the 2.5" lift range or you can spend $3-$5k to fix it with the parts it needs, assuming they're not already on there, which they're probably not.

    Misfire Misfits

It was worth taking a shot at it. Sometimes all you can do is pull out the credit card.

Engine "ticking" (not rockers or lifters)

I've heard the same thing with switching to OEM oil filters. Think I even saw a video on it once.

Engine "ticking" (not rockers or lifters)

I would think towards the front. I mean ticking sound is going to be hard to diagnose without seeing it, it could be a lot of things. Just throwing that out there as a bad harmonic can make ticking sounds. Could always feel around behind it to see if it's missing chunks of rubber and...

Could be the harmonic balancer pulley.

It makes speed bumps a little less annoying but that's about it.

    Steering stabilizer information question

Total waste of money imho. It's only real purpose is to soften a little bit of the feedback you get from the wheels. There is a common misbelief that it will prevent death wobble. It won't. It might soften it a bit, but it won't fix it. If you have DW the best a stabilizer can...

    Alternator Issues

Yeah I would think so. Just checked and they do market directly for our JKs. There are at least two companies that sell complete wiring upgrade kits that are ready to stick in for the JK and other Jeeps. Only other thing you might want to do is check your mesh style grounding straps from...

    Alternator Issues

Didn't notice this was from a while ago. A higher output on the alternator requires you to install better battery/ground wiring. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/1811-high-output-alternators-save-the-day/

Theres your problem. The stock cables need to be upgraded to a larger gauge.

    Tracking left to right/death wobble

Yes. Once you go over about 2.5-3" of lift you're going to have major issues that require a lot of parts. At 4" of lift you're going to need to replace driveshafts, get adjustable control arms all around, adjustable trackbars front and rear, flip the draglink to maintain a parallel line...

    Newbie bumper questions...

Yup. I know Smittybilt gets a lot of grief from people who refer to them by their "alternative" name, but this bumper is well thought out and solid imho. There are thick metal sleeves that go inside both left and right frames with a bunch of heavy bolts through each side, then four heavy long...

    Newbie bumper questions...

Ah nope, not that one. This one. Mine doesn't have the side fender tubes near the tires though, mines a solid piece.

    Newbie bumper questions...

The instructions suck, but there is an installation video now that answers some of the witchcraft required to get it on there. Mine's been solid for two years now with no problems. Mounts really sturdy.

    Newbie bumper questions...

Yeah it's a great bumper. Feel sorry for anybody that ever tries to bumper check me. Sucks after I first installed it though. Banged my grape on it a couple times when I was replacing my exhaust. Sucker will make you see stars.
