Would I need to replace anything else with a 3" lift?

Yes the sweet spot is about 2.5" of actual lift in terms of cost and function. Even that's a little complicated though because the advertised lift height might not be the actual lift height. It depends on the company that makes the kit, as well as how heavy your vehicle is. A kit from...

    2.5” AEV Lift Install

Yeah they're not bad if you just need a little extra room but I'd never really crank em down. That's exactly why I use 3 though. If one slips, you still have two holding it (hopefully).

    2.5” AEV Lift Install

The relocation brackets worked ok for me. Teraflex also makes a nice little add-on that helps keep your brake lines where they should be if you get longer ones. Yeah found a link. Not expensive at all. https://teraflex.com/brake-line-anchor-kit-w-1-mounting-hole.html

    2.5” AEV Lift Install

Yeah the 'ole widowmakers. When I use them I use 3. Had to buy two sets but it's cheaper than a funeral.

Can I safely tow this with my 2008 2-door Sahara?

Nope I don't. I've thought about it but that's a whole 'nother thing I'd have to learn to do it right and I just don't have the time right now.

JK Radio Upgrade - Experience with Insane Audio?

Yeah Crutchfeld is your best resource. The problem is the additional parts you need to make it work with the CAN bus. Good luck!

Show your back the $1k bill you would have gotten to do it for you and it'll clear right up

Can I safely tow this with my 2008 2-door Sahara?

Nice clean install! Looks like you even put some heat shielding over the wires to the rear plug and loomed it. Strain relief on the battery connections. Now that's a job well done.

Would I need to replace anything else with a 3" lift?

That's a really good Jeep channel for sure. He gets bonus points for having put up with us former red crayon eaters of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children.

Would I need to replace anything else with a 3" lift?

You've got lots of good recommendations so far. The other thing you need to watch for is making sure that your lift will support the shocks you have. Some of the kits come with brackets basically that let you use your existing shocks, but doing a lift is a great time to replace the shocks...

Nice Jeep! What are your plans and have you had her checked over post purchase? Welcome to your local chapter of Jeep addicts

JK Radio Upgrade - Experience with Insane Audio?

All I know is they have good reviews. The Stinger Heigh10 is another great option. If you're thinking about doing a head unit install, go over to Crutchfeld as it will tell you what you need to do the install....you'll need additional stuff to complete it. The other thing to be aware of is...

Colorado Low Mileage 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4X4

I'd say selling it depends on how well it drives after a 4" lift.

Need advice on O2 sensor removal

Forgot to mention you will also be able to get in there with some PB blaster and just soak it every day for a few days. Now most shops will tell you that the panther pee doesn't work, but they also don't have the luxury of letting it sit on it for hours which is the thing you need to do. Soak...

Need advice on O2 sensor removal

Could be a number of things going on there, but it looks like both your bank 1's are throwing codes. The 0430 code is a cat code, so you probably have more than just a couple bad sensors there. Did they put in OEM O2 sensors? That's a really important thing to do. If it's throwing lean...

Unofficial word: 3.6 dropping like flies

While they've certainly had their issues with valve seats overheating and causing problems, there's still 10 million pentastars that have been stuck in vehicles since 2011. It's no Honda or Toyota in terms of reliability, but it's no slouch either and is a solid above average engine. Keep in...

Need advice on O2 sensor removal

Which O2 sensors need replacement and what is the code you are getting? It's very uncommon to have more than one O2 sensor go bad. I'm assuming it's the upstream O2's that you're having problems removing, since the downstream one's are fairly accessible. To get better access to the upstream...

Yup. Swaylocs are better than stock on the road, and amazing (and convenient to disconnect) offroad. I have a Hellwig in the back but have considered getting a rear Swayloc too. Love my front one.

    Transmission fluid leak

The shop manual calls for it to be checked with it in drive so that the pump is engaged. That's clearly a safety issue so make sure someone you trust is either on the brake or both axles are on jackstands ;) If the breather hose is fine and it's still leaking around the pan it probably needs...
