Old school spacers suck, the new stuff is much better and seem to work pretty dang well. With that said, IMO, they are a just a cheap alternative to buying the correct wheels.

My 13 will do this as well, however where you say yours is unlocking, mine takes a bit of driving first. I have yet to try and fix this because I am planning a gear change soon, but from what I have been told & read, it is the actuator...at least on my heap.
