    Traction Board Mounting

I have a set of these: https://gotreads.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopdM9ZMUczJrHk4VXKzZAmRr0Slb2RNqM0HWxmerBVcYdnzgkEn I like things that have a dual purpose. I can also use these to level my camper if necessary and they are easy to store and transport.

What did you do to your JK today?

Congrats! What are your first impressions?? I like the "Freightliner" badge on the back of that car/camper thing. 😂

2012 Wrangler JKU, no start, no crank issue continues

Just throwing it out there again... In your first picture the positive clamp does not look like it is seated all the way down. I had this issue when I first acquired my JK... No crank/start. Loosened up the pos terminal, took a socket and tapped the clamp down as far as it would go. It was...

    Jasper vs LKQ remanufactured engine

Trans shop employee 1: "Hey did you remove that last fastener?" Trans shop employee 2: "Yep, sure did..." Trans shop employee 1: "Righty-o, lower it down, and be quick about it or I'll be late to check in with my parole officer" !!!CRACK!!!

    Battery Cables

ECM parameters should be retained with keep alive or stored memory. I don't know what the time constant is, each OEM has a different strategy... I would think in the time it takes to replace a battery, or clamps, etc you would not lose anything critical. Maybe if you leave have the battery...

    Re-gearing Help

No problem! If you don't know you ask and then learn. It's always preferable when the outcome is that there isn't any issue that has to be rectified!

    Re-gearing Help

Not odd at all really, it's a factor of the connected mechanical components. The smaller the tire diameter, the faster the engine has to turn to maintain any given linear speed, all other things held equal. Since you verified the vehicle speed is accurate via GPS, a 35.25" actual diameter...

    Re-gearing Help

Have you measured the actual wheel diameter as installed on the vehicle? Most (not all) tires are smaller than the listed diameter. If, for instance, your nominal 37" tire measures out to be 36" that could explain some of it... The calculated 2576rpm from the fear ratio chart would...

    2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread

I'm partial to e-lockers myself but that is what I have had in past (and current) trucks. I've never had a true-trac in a truck, but have in a street/track car and it performed nicely in both environments...

    Camshafts

I think there is also a sensor "relearn" process that has to be performed. Was that or the ECM reset done?

    Camshafts

Yeah more basic info would be helpful. I deduced that it was a 3.6 based on statements of six cylinders, overhead cam. Left bank cam sensor is a good thought since the misfires are on cylinders 2/4/6. That would be a common cause... However, this issue seems to be common with both exhaust...

    Camshafts

I'll state the obvious, but based on the data you provided I would say whoever installed the exhaust cams was off on the sprocket by a tooth.

    2011 JKU won’t start

Make sure they are pushed down as far as they will go. One of mine was 1/16" or so too high on the post and that was enough to cause occasional issues...

What all should be replaced when you do a head gasket

It should have some form of fail safe cooling strategy for loss of coolant. Ford vehicles do but I'm not as familiar with how Jeep does it. Point being that you may be ok having driven only a short distance. Replacing head gaskets is a much larger task than replacing the radiator and...
